Kathrin Schum and Nina Friedmann to become Partners
19.09.2018 von Daniel J. Hanke
Kathrin Schum (38) and Nina Friedmann (39) will acquire shares of the Klenk & Hoursch AG as of October 1st, 2018. The two new shareholders have been with the corporate and brand communications agency for eight years (Schum) and eleven years (Friedmann). As such, two additional long term employees become shareholders. In the past years, in-house protégés Georg Lahme (43), Daniel J. Hanke (44), and Tobias Müller (41) have already joined Klenk & Hoursch as shareholders. The two founders Dr. Volker Klenk (56) and Stephan Hoursch (56), as well as Uwe Wache (60) and Dr. Georg Kolb (57), complete the partnership.
“Kathrin and Nina obviously make the agency management younger and more diverse, but more importantly demonstrate how Klenk & Hoursch repeatedly succeeds in securing the best talents long-term”, says Karsten Polthier, chairman of the board of Klenk & Hoursch AG. “Both influenced the successful growth of the past years and play a pivotal role for the future of the agency.”
Schum is in charge of numerous clients in the field of consumer & brand communications. Her particular expertise: the positioning of American brands in Germany, such as Vitamix or Big Green Egg, as well as doing PR for food & beverage brands. Besides that, she engages in the consumer practice of PROI, the largest worldwide network for independent PR- and marketing agencies. As a hardcore foodie, she plans her travels alongside her meals, and might go out for dinner twice to test the hippest restaurants.
Friedmann consults German and international clients in the field of media & online relations in the B2C and primarily in the B2B environment. As an automotive expert – among other things – she leads the WABCO team at Klenk & Hoursch. It comprehensively supports the automotive supplier worldwide as the leading agency with media relations, at conferences and events, and in internal communications. If you don´t meet her on a test track or at a conference, the mother-of-two is frequently drawn to the south and (especially) the mountains for holidays.
